My school is crazily zionist. Almost all of the kids love israel and want to go there to vacation. The problem is that our school has almost zero kids who opt to make aliyah after high school. It is our homeland and i dont know why this is that nobody goes. We have vacation trips there but you can never really experience israel if you dont live there. The school doesnt even make any effort to encourage aliyah to israel. Tell me what you think, if people should or shouldn't encourage aliyah from america, etc.

yes i posted something similar to this on thelockers.net before i was banned......it is bullshit how teachers say " Im zionistic i served in the army i was there for the year and I promote israel in my school" Shut the fuck up....make aliyah or shut up.....its ok to be zionistic and not make aliyah but to make it out like israel is your top priority and then become confronted with questions like "Why dont you just make aliyah?" they respond that they have family here or they need the money....get your priorities straight man...and im not being hypocritical my family is making aliyah in July 2006

In my school we have an upcoming trip to israel for seniors and sophmores. i think that on those trips as opposed to full touring we should get a look at the life in israel. They should let us work or do something. Believe me once most people see what the land is really like, there is no way they will want to go back to america.

Well in one respect, i guess your right but in another your wrong. I guess you are right that i may think its totally the opposite. But on the other hand, you can do something that you enjoy doing so that you know that you can do that profession if yo move there.

thats not always true, lets say youre a structural engineer that specializes in bridges now dont tell me that you can do that in israel. or lets say youre an astonaut or trying to becmoe one, you cant exactly mov to israel liek that

Y not, in regard ot the adtronaut thing, it might even be easier to be an astronaurt from israel because there are so few people vying for the job. You would have to seve in the american military to be an american astronaut anyway so serve in the IAF and then you have a better chance of becoming one.

no wonder youre not in honors anymore ( you said so in another topic), how many times have you heard about an israeli astronaut going into space i can think of 2, its probably 2 out of thousands when in america its liek 2 out of thousnads every week

It is two and you are right about that because people in israel didnt have aspirations to become astronauts till the last 5 or so years. In america it isnt 2 out of thousands every week because only two americans have gone up to space in the last year. Also, if you stand out in israel and apply in america, you will be a good choice for them. So once again ur wrong

Ya, i guess you are right but as a sidenote, peoplpe who are going to be in technology cna go to iseael and make a lot of money there so maybe the astronaur one was a strech but definitely tech isnt.

also many people have many different skills....such as computers, technoligy and even the ability to fly a plain.....all these skills and many more could help the israeli army.....even though you might be important to yourself wouldnt you rather contribute to the greater good....i know i will
